After dipping our toe in the water in 2016, we’re back as the Official Gin and Ladies’ Day Sponsor at Cowes Week 2019.
Tomorrow marks the start of the weeklong event which offers a great mix of competitive sailing and social activities. Our team will be taking to the sea on Ladies’ Day delivering refreshing G&Ts to competitors as they cross the finish line, Slingsby Gin will be available on all bars including the Fever-Tree G&T bar and we even have our own team setting sail in the 28-boat race on the Slingsby Sailing Boat!
From family-friendly treasure hunts to live music and after parties, there is plenty of entertainment and lots of activities taking place around Cowes throughout the week. So, don’t worry if you don’t fancy putting on your sea legs and getting competitive because there’s lots to keep you busy!
There are four main entertainment hubs for you to explore and enjoy around the main competition area, Cowes Yacht Haven, Cowes Parade, Northwood House and Shepards Wharf Marina. From folk to Latin, music from around the world will fill your ears throughout the day and the party doesn’t stop until the early hours at the Sugar Store Nightclub and the Electro Love Nightclub.
With no shortage of things to see and do ashore at Cowes, the High Street is no different. It’s filled with delightful clothing and lifestyle shops so you can take a break from the sea antics and enjoy some retail therapy or delight in a delicious lunch and G&T served up in one of the many pubs or restaurants. Throughout the 2019 event, Cowes High Street will also host an array of music and entertainers at various venues.
During the evening of Friday 16th August, make sure you don’t miss out on the RAF Typhoon Display and the Red Funnel Fireworks Display too!
