Saturday 8th June 2019. It might be the Queen’s birthday but we’re going to be raising a glass to celebrate World Gin Day! The Spirit of Harrogate team are set to have a busy weekend with events all over the country.

At home in Harrogate, with every purchase of a bottle of gin our customers will receive a free Slingsby tote bag. As always, we will be offering free tasters of our products in the store and our staff will be on hand to answer your questions.
Junipalooza
We will be at the Gin Foundry’s event at Tobacco Dock 8-9th June with samples for attendees to try. We’re taking our full range with us and ticket holders will be able to try our gins either neat or with tonic, and hear all about the history of our products. There are over 60 distillers in attendance, meaning over 200 gins so if you’re partial to a G&T, this is one for you.

Polo in the Park
Slingsby is the official gin supplier of Chesterton’s Polo in the Park 2019 which means we’re going to be spending this weekend serving our G&Ts to thirsty spectators. The Slingsby Garden is the perfect place to grab a G&T next to the pitch, and we are stocked on the other bars with a great offer – a double for the price of a single! It’s set to be a fantastic weekend with plenty of delicious food, shopping and of course world-class polo!
The Summer Cocktail Experience
Up north in Leeds we’re going to be celebrating World Gin Day at the Faversham at the Summer Cocktail Experience. We’re joining a fantastic line up of Leeds bars, and have partnered with Angelica to bring attendees a Gooseberry Fizz cocktail. Our team have handcrafted the drink which is set to be one of our favourites for summer:
The Gooseberry Fizz
25ml Slingsby Gooseberry Gin
10ml Lychee Liqueur
30ml Pomegranate
10ml Sugar Syrup
10ml Lemon Juice
Top up with Prosecco
We will also be there to greet guests who have a World Gin Day specific ticket with an additional welcome drink too.

Blind Tyger – Leeds and Manchester
We’re sponsoring an evening of gin at both the Leeds and Manchester Blind Tyger bars. Our teams will be in both bars to talk through the history of gin with our attendees whilst they try five different Slingsby Gin cocktails. At both events there will also be a bottle of our Slingsby Gooseberry gin up for grabs too.
Tickets are £20 and include five cocktails and a goody bag to take home too.

The Mustard Pot – Leeds
On Friday 7th May, we’re going to be holding a talk at and tasting at the Mustard Pot in Leeds. Between 7-9pm, guests will be able to come in and try our gins with no ticket required. This is the first event in their Gin Fest Weekend.
The Fire Pit – Southport
We love seeing the bars we’re stocked in creating new cocktails for their menus and what better reason is there than World Gin Day? The Firepit in Southport has two new additions to the menu for this week.
The Gooseberry Ginito
37.5ml Slingsby Gooseberry Gin
12.5ml Cointreau
25ml Lemon Juice
25ml Elderflower Syrup
Put all ingredients in a glass with ice and mint, churn, then garnish with orange and a mint leaf.
The Rhubarb Sour
37.5ml Slingsby Rhubarb Gin
12.5ml Pisco Sours
25ml Rhubarb and Rosehip Cordial
25ml Lemon Juice
Dash of sugar syrup
Dash of egg white
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain to serve, garnish with a lemon twist.
