The annual Welcome To Yorkshire Ebor Festival took place last week with over 100,000 racegoers descending on York Racecourse. The infamous racing event takes place over 4 days and celebrates the very best in racing, Yorkshire and fashion!
One of the main events of the day (other than the racing of course!) is the Ebor Fashion Lawn. This year, Slingsby were headline sponsors which saw it renamed the Slingsby Ebor Fashion Lawn. Over 800 participants entered to walk the catwalk over the duration of the event and there were some wonderful outfits to be seen!
Our Joint-Managing Director Marcus and our Marketing Director Clare were on the panel along with representatives from John Lewis and SkyBet who had the important job of judging the many amazing outfits whilst giving their thoughts and feedback to resident milliner Georgina from Yorkshire hat brand - George Durdy.
Slingsby also sponsored the Best Dressed Couple Category where winners were treated to a Master Distiller For 2 with overnight stay at Hotel du Vin, Harrogate. Runners Up to each category also got a voucher for a Spirit of Gin Experience and of course - all category winners were gifted a bottle of Slingsby Rhubarb Gin.
